Rutherglen is one of Victoria’s best preserved gold rush towns. Take a stroll up the main street and step back in time. We recommend a stop at Parkers Pies with over 200 awards for traditional Pies and Gourmet Pastries.
We will then travel to All Saints Winery where you can taste wines from the Cellar Door before moving into the Terrace Restaurant for lunch. Bookings recommended.
After lunch take a stroll around the gardens and visit the Indigo Food Company. You might like to indulge in some special tastings or take home some high quality, small-scale farm-gate goods from local and regional producers.
Jones Winery and Vineyard cellar door offers visitors 'real and genuine' experiences in wine and service.
The charming heritage listed sales area, built from handmade bricks with its original bark-lined roof, is the perfect place to enjoy handcrafted wines and French style cuisine from their Café. Open Thursdays - Sundays.
Cofields have some great wines on tasting and most weekends they have special offering of special Reserve wines in addition to the normal wine list and then enjoy a meal at The Pickled Sisters Café or for something more relaxed perhaps share a platter. Closed Tuesdays.
If there is time to spare before heading back to Albury we will travel to Gooramadda Olives. They produce 11 varieties of table olives and varietal olives oils, infused olive oils, infused table olives, tapenade, olive oil soap, olive oil skin creams and olive spoons. Open Saturday – Sunday only.
We then head back to Albury via the Hume Highway.
